Max Luces-Tucker
The chameleon, Max Luces-Tucker’s industry experience is diverse - A noteworthy success in music, film & TV and apparel.
Early on the trendsetting entrepreneur Max Luces-Tucker launched a clothing line, a chain of prominent clothing stores and promoted groundbreaking recording acts. She then accepted a position at ASCAP (American Society of Composers Authors & Publishers). There she spent four years recruiting and signing writers/publishers in addition to planning informational panels, workshops and special events. Max created and produced “Lyrically Speaking,” an original live-staged program for the global corporation.
Later, she moved to Bunim Murray Productions in the field of Music Supervision where she worked on MTV's “The Real World,” television’s first reality show. After serving on two seasons of “The Real World,” San Diego and Philadelphia, she took on more serious topics where she was the Music Supervisor of the Emmy Award winning TV Show “Starting Over,” a women’s daytime drama on NBC. Currently, she is the Music Supervisor of the wild and crazy “Bad Girls Club” on the Oxygen Network, the highest rated show in Oxygen history. Max has also tapped into the world of social documentary; she worked on HBO’s Primetime Emmy Award winning film, “Autism: The Musical,” a project about children who suffer from Autism and the effect it has on their families. Max has also been “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” with “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami” giving the Kardashians that bit of flavor like no one else.
Throughout her tenure, Max is responsible for the “sound” as she is involved in music acquisitions and placements. This includes negotiations and strategic initiatives involving music and music-related programming. Max prides herself in helping break independent acts when traditions methods aren’t yet checking for them. She has redefined her role to include educating and empowering artist, songwriters and producers to look outside of the “old box.”
Quite the savvy screenwriter, Max has written and sold her first feature film, “A Simple Promise,” the acclaimed feature film written by Max, is now available on DVD - with worldwide distribution. This film is about love, pursuing dreams, sacrifice and how we define success.
Wait there’s more; Max is also a published author. Her first book Bobby & Chrissy: One Gift is currently sold through local booksellers and it's conveniently available on-line where books are sold. Bobby & Chrissy: One Gift is the first installment in the series of children’s books, "The Adventures of Bobby & Chrissy". The book and her in-personal story times are a favorite among families and educators. It’s apparent she’s not just grabbing at straws but strategically positioning herself to be a person of influence.
Like a chameleon, she has proven to possess that rare quality of successfully navigating in all genres and sectors of creative affairs. Such a skill has made her invaluable to her peers and luminaries.
Max is an active member of The Los Angeles Chapter of the Recording Academy (The Grammys). She’s a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (The Emmys) as well as, Women In Film. Notably, she is also a member of StepUp Women’s Network, a national mentoring organization.
Dream it, then wake up and live it!
